“I don’t want to be on Instagram – I want to be in museums.” Colin Dyer
I’m Colin Dyer – a film and digital photographer drawn to the quiet, poetic moments that most people overlook. I use photography as a way to slow down and make sense of the world–capturing atmosphere, emotion, and the small details that feel like memories the moment you see them. My work is rooted in sonder: the belief that every person, every place, every fleeting second holds a story worth noticing.
I grew up in New Hampshire, spent time living in Hawaii, served four years in the Marine Corps, and have been photographing life ever since I could hold a camera. Now I travel the world shooting and searching for the next story to tell with my photography.
Whether I’m shooting landscapes, strangers, portraits, or the poetry in everyday life, my goal is always the same: to create images that feel honest, emotional, and deeply human.
